I'm Leslie Ayres and I'm The Job Search Guru and founder of The Job Search Academy. 

I've been a job search insider most of my career, with more than 25 years as a recruiter across industries and levels, including 14 years in executive search for all kinds of tech startups.

I'm also a high-touch custom resume writer and strategic storyteller for people in competitive fields where differentiating yourself is everything. 

And in everything I do, I'm always a job search strategy coach and your head cheerleader.

Along the way, I've learned a whole lot about how hiring managers think and about how candidates present themselves, and what does and doesn't work. 

And I learned that most job seekers and career climbers usually just need a little practical information and guidance in how to prepare for and how to navigate job searches and what they might encounter out there in the process. 

I mean, it's not exactly rocket science... but it does have a lot of moving parts and important details, so you need someone who knows what they're talking about to fill you in a little more. 

You know... like a guide, a mentor, a teacher.

I've always loved working one-on-one with people who know the power of an intentional job search and story. People with a vision for who they are and where they want to go. It's so satisfying working directly with people who are up to good things in the world.

But I also realized there had to be a way to put my straightforward advice and guidance and information into a form where anyone can learn from it. 

I want to reach more people to share the real-world job search lessons, strategies, shortcuts, advice, insights and secrets that I've picked up in my years as a job search insider.
